About Jean Gazis
Jean has extensive experience as a writer and marketing manager at leading publishing and technology companies, both privately held and public. Her freelance clients include firms in publishing and technology, food, caterer/restaurants, and non-profit and business networking groups. Jean has also been involved in numerous small business and startup ventures. In addition, she has fulfilled the volunteer roles of Marketing Manager and Copy Director on marketing communications and advanced website project teams for the Taproot Foundation. Jean has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the Johns Hopkins University, with a Minor in French. She has taken continuing education courses in Advertising Copywriting, Fiction Writing, Copyediting, and art. She enjoys reading, writing, word games and puzzles, live music, wine, yoga, and the great outdoors. She and her husband, entrepreneur Leonard Shostak, live in Brooklyn, NY with their two young sons.
